This braised carrot and yam casserole is a Hanukkah and Passover classic. Make it your own with your favorite dried fruits and citrus!
Ingredients

Preparation
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Combine all ingredients except for orange zest in a large pot and simmer for about 20 minutes, or until carrots and yams are tender.
Transfer mixture to a large casserole dish and bake uncovered for 15 minutes, until golden.
Garnish with orange zest and serve.
