Dilly Rolls

Give your dinner rolls a flavorful twist by adding a little dried onion, dill seed, and cottage cheese to the mix!

Preparation
Sprinkle yeast over warm water and let dissolve, 2–3 minutes.
In a separate bowl, combine warm cottage cheese, butter, sugar, salt, egg, dried onions, dill seed, baking soda, and softened yeast mixture, then stir until blended.
Add flour in several steps, beating well after each addition, until a stiff dough forms. Cover and let rise until dough is doubled in size, about 50–60 minutes.
Stir down dough, then separate into 12 equal portions, forming each into a ball. Arrange dough balls in a well-greased baking dish and let rise in a warm place for about 30–40 minutes.
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Bake risen rolls for 20–25 minutes. While still hot, brush with softened butter and sprinkle with salt.
Rolls may be stored in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
