Old-Fashioned Nectarine Buckle

This sweet, summer dessert is easy to make, undeniably delicious, and even better served warm with whipped cream or ice cream.

Preparation
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Combine the nectarines with ½ cup sugar in a large bowl and set aside.
In a separate bowl, mix 1 cup sugar with flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir the milk and vanilla paste in slowly to minimize clumping.
Melt the butter in a 9x13-inch baking dish, then whisk it into the batter. Pour the batter back into the baking dish, then spoon fruit mixture on top—do not stir. Sprinkle with remaining 2 tablespoons of sugar.
Bake for 45–55 minutes, then serve warm.
