American Toad in the Hole

Here in the states, Toad in the Hole (a.k.a. Egg in a Hole) is a simple breakfast staple. Just cut a hole out of a slice of bread, toast it in a pan with butter, then crack an egg in the center and cook to your desired doneness!
Ingredients

Preparation
Heat large nonstick pan on medium heat.
Butter one side of each slice of bread. With a cutter or knife, make a hole in the center of the bread about 2½–3 inches in diameter.
Place bread butter-side down in the pan and toast for 1–2 minutes, until golden brown. Turn bread over, place 1 teaspoon of butter in the hole of each bread, and then crack 1 egg into each hole. Cook until eggs are desired degree of doneness. Cover with a lid to speed up cooking or flip toast over with egg for over easy.
